Bayern Munich Crush Hoffenheim 5-0 to Go Four Points Clear at Bundesliga Summit

Bayern Munich delivered a resounding 5-0 victory over Hoffenheim on Wednesday, cementing their position at the top of the Bundesliga with a four-point lead.

The Bavarian giants wasted no time asserting their dominance. In the seventh minute, Leroy Sane drilled in the opening goal from a precise Thomas Mueller assist. Just five minutes later, Raphael Guerreiro doubled the lead after a slick one-two with Harry Kane.

The match was effectively sealed in the 26th minute when Harry Kane, the league’s top scorer, converted a penalty to notch his 16th goal of the competition. Remarkably, the England captain has now scored all 12 penalties he’s taken in his Bundesliga career, marking the league’s third-best record.

After the break, Bayern maintained their relentless pace. Sane netted his second goal just three minutes into the second half. The rout was completed in the 66th minute when substitute Serge Gnabry tapped in the fifth goal, leaving Hoffenheim reeling.

Vincent Kompany’s side now sits on 42 points, extending their advantage over champions Bayer Leverkusen. In contrast, Hoffenheim’s struggles continue as they have failed to win any of their last six league games, losing three consecutively. They find themselves 16th in the standings, occupying the relegation playoff spot.
