The 2024 Beijing Forum on Swift Response to Public Complaints is set to take place on December 18 and 19 in Beijing. With the permanent theme of “People’s City, Better Future,” this year’s forum will focus on “Modernizing for People-Centered Urban Governance.”
In recent years, Shanghai has made significant strides in modernizing its urban governance. The city has been diligently enhancing the scientific and intelligent aspects of urban management, continuously exploring new paths for governing a mega-city. These efforts aim to achieve high-quality development and provide a high-quality life for its residents through efficient governance.
An international student from Germany studying at Tongji University in Shanghai shared his experiences of living in the city. He described his time studying in Shanghai as an extraordinary memory. He remarked on the humane aspects of Shanghai’s urban development, noting that the “people-centered” concept of urban governance is reflected in many details of daily life. This approach, full of humanistic warmth, allows foreign students to truly feel the traditional Chinese humanistic values.
