Baseball coach Zhuo Minling has been hitting home runs both on and off the field since she moved to the southern city of Shenzhen in 2018. Originally from the island of Taiwan, Zhuo graduated from Taiwan Normal University with a passion for baseball and a dream to inspire young athletes.
Upon her arrival in Shenzhen, Zhuo quickly transitioned from student to coach. She began working with local youth baseball teams, sharing her expertise and enthusiasm for the sport. Under her guidance, these young players have achieved remarkable success, clinching numerous trophies in regional competitions.
“Shenzhen is a vibrant city with endless opportunities,” Zhuo said. “The energy here is infectious, and it’s been rewarding to see the growth of baseball on the Chinese mainland.”
Zhuo credits the modern metropolis for providing her with a platform to develop both personally and professionally. “I feel like I’m growing along with the game,” she added. “Every day brings new challenges and achievements.”
Her dedication has not only fostered a winning mentality among her players but has also contributed to the rising popularity of baseball in the region. As more youths take up the sport, Zhuo remains committed to nurturing their talent and passion.
