Shenyang City, Liaoning Province — In a solemn ceremony held on Friday, the remains of 43 Chinese People’s Volunteers (CPV) soldiers, who sacrificed their lives during the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-1953), were laid to rest in northeast China’s Liaoning Province.

Amidst respectful silence, a 12-gun salute echoed through the air, honoring the fallen heroes who fought bravely over half a century ago. The remains were returned to the Chinese mainland from the Republic of Korea on Thursday, marking the 11th such repatriation since 2014. This ongoing process is the result of a handover agreement between the two countries, demonstrating a mutual commitment to honoring the soldiers who perished during the conflict.

With this latest return, the total number of repatriated CPV martyrs now stands at 981. The consistent efforts to bring these heroes home underscore the nation’s dedication to remembering and honoring their sacrifice.

The War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea was a significant historical event, and the burial ceremony serves as a poignant reminder of the enduring legacy of those who served.
