Noting that China has assumed the rotating presidency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Wang expressed China’s eagerness to collaborate closely with Russia to elevate the SCO’s development to a new level.

Looking ahead to the 80th anniversary of the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War next year, Wang proposed that China and Russia jointly organize commemorative activities. He emphasized the importance of defending the achievements of the Second World War and upholding international justice.

Lavrov remarked that the current level of Russia-China relations is unprecedented. He acknowledged the close contact between the heads of state of both countries, which has set new goals for cooperation.
