China has officially expressed its readiness to enhance communication and cooperation with other parties in preparation for hosting the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum in 2026. This commitment aims to foster practical cooperation and inject fresh impetus into the economic growth of the Asia-Pacific region and beyond, according to a spokesperson from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The announcement came after reports indicated that China offered to host the 2026 APEC meeting, receiving support from other APEC members and endorsement at this year's APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting.
