Slovenia is placing a strong emphasis on new energy and sustainable development, recognizing the vital role these sectors play in the global economy. Matjaž Han, the Slovenian Minister of Economy, Tourism and Sports, highlighted the country’s commitment during an interview with CGTN’s Zhang Meng.
“China is one of Slovenia’s most important trading partners and a major player in the global market,” Han stated. He underscored Slovenia’s dedication to sustainable growth and its strong potential in green energy sectors. As a small, export-driven economy, Slovenia is focused on expanding and diversifying its export markets.
Han emphasized the significant opportunities for collaboration between Slovenia and China. “There is great potential for partnership in areas of green technology and renewable energy,” he said. The minister expressed optimism about deepening economic ties with China, particularly in industries that support sustainable development.
Slovenia’s strategic focus aligns with global trends towards sustainability and environmental responsibility. By seeking closer cooperation with China, Slovenia aims to leverage expertise and investment to drive innovation in green energy.
“We believe that working together with China will not only benefit our economies but also contribute to global efforts in combating climate change,” Han concluded.
