In a series of air strikes on Monday evening, Israel targeted southern Beirut, resulting in the deaths of four people, including a child, and injuring 24 others, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry.
One of the strikes appeared to hit the car park of the Rafik Hariri University Hospital, Beirut’s main government hospital. A hospital source told Reuters that the impact near the hospital raised significant concerns for patient safety.
The Israeli military confirmed it conducted 13 air strikes in the area, stating that the operations were aimed at facilities linked to Hezbollah.
