Xi Jinping Calls for Stronger China-Mongolia Partnership on 75th Anniversary

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Mongolia, Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh, emphasizing the importance of deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations.

President Xi highlighted that China and Mongolia are important neighbors and that Mongolia was among the first countries to establish diplomatic ties with the People’s Republic of China. Over the past 75 years, the two countries have adhered to the direction of good neighborliness and friendship, continuously deepening mutually beneficial cooperation across various fields, bringing tangible benefits to their peoples.

“I attach great importance to the development of bilateral relations and stand ready to work with President Khurelsukh to promote the steady and sustained development of the China-Mongolia comprehensive strategic partnership under the guidance of building a community with a shared future,” President Xi stated in his message.

In response, President Khurelsukh expressed his commitment to strengthening the friendship and mutual trust between the two nations. He expressed readiness to work with President Xi to synergize Mongolia’s Steppe Road Program with China’s Belt and Road Initiative, aiming to contribute to the development of both countries and bring more benefits to their peoples.

On the same day, Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Mongolian Prime Minister Luvsannamsrai Oyun-Erdene exchanged congratulatory messages. Premier Li affirmed China’s willingness to take the 75th anniversary as a new starting point to promote joint progress on the path of modernization and achieve win-win cooperation. Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene echoed this sentiment, expressing his readiness to further deepen the traditional friendly relations between Mongolia and China, creating a bright future for bilateral relations.

The exchange of messages between the leaders underscores the commitment of both countries to advancing their comprehensive strategic partnership. As China and Mongolia look forward to the next 75 years, their shared goals and collaborative efforts signal a strengthened alliance poised to enhance regional stability and development.
