The 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) drew to a close on Monday in Beijing, wrapping up a dynamic five-day event that highlighted the innovation and vitality of the global services trade sector.
Since opening on September 12, CIFTIS facilitated close to 1,000 outcomes, including deals and investments achieved across seven key categories. The majority of these were in construction, finance, and business services, showcasing the fair’s role as a catalyst for growth in these industries, according to the organizing committee.
The event witnessed robust participation, with 2,000 companies joining offline and over 6,000 companies engaging online. By noon on Monday, nearly 242,000 attendees had visited the fair, including over 100,000 professional visitors—a 20 percent increase compared to the previous year. This surge in attendance reflects the growing global interest in China’s services trade and the opportunities it presents.
