In an effort to strengthen ties and chart a new course for collaborative development, the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) concluded on Thursday with the adoption of the Beijing Declaration. This landmark document sets the foundation for building an “all-weather China-Africa community with a shared future for the new era.”
The summit, attended by heads of state, government officials, and business leaders from across the African continent and the Chinese mainland, also saw the adoption of the Beijing Action Plan for 2025-2027.
