China Eastern Airlines has inaugurated a new direct flight route connecting Xi’an, the capital of northwest China’s Shaanxi Province, with Hanoi, Vietnam, marking a significant step in enhancing regional connectivity.
The maiden flight took off from Xi’an Xianyang International Airport at 5:10 p.m. Beijing Time on Friday and touched down in Hanoi at 6:55 p.m. local time. The return journey departs Hanoi at 8:15 p.m. local time, arriving back in Xi’an at 11:55 p.m. Beijing Time. Each flight has a duration of approximately two hours and 40 minutes.
Operating twice weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays, the new route offers greater convenience for travelers and business professionals between the two historic cities. The service is expected to stimulate tourism, foster cultural exchanges, and open up new opportunities for economic cooperation.
