The Chinese Embassy in Tehran held a ceremony on Thursday to celebrate the 53rd anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Iran. The event was attended by Chinese Ambassador to Tehran, Cong Peiwu; Alaeddin Boroujerdi, chairman of the Iran-China Friendship Association and a senior Iranian lawmaker; and other association members.
Diplomatic relations between China and Iran were formally established on August 16, 1971. Since then, the bond between the two nations has grown stronger, rooted in a friendship that dates back over 2,000 years along the ancient Silk Road.
In his address, Ambassador Cong highlighted the significant progress made in bilateral relations. \
