On behalf of Xi and the CPC Central Committee, Wang laid a wreath, observed a moment of silence, bowed three times before Trong’s coffin, conveyed sincere condolences from Xi and his wife Peng Liyuan to Trong’s widow Ngo Thi Man, and signed the condolence book.
In meetings with Vietnamese leaders, Wang expressed deep sorrow over Trong’s passing, stating that after learning the sad news, Xi visited the Vietnamese Embassy in China to pay tribute, and the CPC Central Committee sent condolences to the CPV Central Committee.
