Stefon Diggs, the star wide receiver, expressed enthusiasm about his recent move to the Houston Texans, describing the change as a “breath of fresh air” during his first press conference with the team on Saturday.
The Texans acquired Diggs from the Buffalo Bills in a trade that sent a 2025 NFL Draft second-round pick (via the Minnesota Vikings) to the Bills, along with a 2024 No. 189 pick and a 2025 fifth-round pick.
“They’re very welcoming,” Diggs said of his new team. “Very open arms, and I just feel like it’s important for me to be a part of things like that. It’s genuine. You thrive in that space. You thrive in a space where you’re loved. Thrive in a space of being around those who truly care and truly want to see you win.”
Diggs brings a wealth of experience and talent to the Texans. Over four seasons with the Bills, he amassed 5,372 receiving yards and 37 touchdowns on 445 receptions in 66 games. His performance earned him four consecutive Pro Bowl selections, as well as First-team and Second-team All-Pro honors. During his tenure, the Bills dominated the AFC East Division, making the playoffs each year.
The move marks a significant shift in the NFL landscape, with Diggs’ arrival expected to boost the Texans’ offensive capabilities. As American football continues to gain international interest, particularly in parts of Asia where the NFL has been expanding its reach, Diggs’ relocation is watched by global fans eager to see how he will impact his new team.
