Over 2,200 domestic and international enterprises are seeking new business opportunities at the 30th China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair, which commenced on Saturday in Lanzhou, the capital of northwest China’s Gansu Province.
The five-day event, concluding on Wednesday, has attracted representatives from governments, embassies, consulates, business councils, and companies from 23 countries, including Belarus, Uzbekistan, and Uruguay. The fair serves as a significant platform for fostering international economic and trade cooperation along the Belt and Road.
To date, a total of 1,325 investment and cooperation agreements have been signed, spanning sectors such as digital information, new energy, equipment manufacturing, petrochemicals, and specialty agricultural products. These deals are valued at nearly 604 billion yuan (about $84.7 billion).
The fair is also hosting business promotions and exchange activities, with more than 40,000 visitors expected to attend. Participants have the opportunity to engage in dialogues, explore partnerships, and gain insights into the dynamic economic landscape of northwest China.
First held in 1993, the China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair has evolved into a pivotal event showcasing the region’s commitment to opening up and integrating with global markets. Last year, it attracted over 1,600 enterprises from home and abroad, with 1,172 contracts signed during the five-day fair.
