The event seeks to advance global artificial intelligence governance and develop open, fair, and effective mechanisms to manage AI technologies.

The Shanghai conference will gather government officials and representatives from international organizations, industries, universities, and research institutes. The diverse attendance reflects a global commitment to collaborative discussions on the future of AI.

“We look forward to the full exchange of insights in Shanghai in the spirit of extensive consultation and joint contribution for shared benefit,” Mao added. “This will help build consensus and promote the healthy, safe, and orderly development of AI.”
