China’s National Meteorological Center has renewed a blue alert for rainstorms, anticipating heavy rainfall across several southern, southwestern, and eastern regions over the coming days.
The alert, issued on Sunday, forecasts downpours in parts of Guizhou, Guangdong, Guangxi, and the Taiwan region for Sunday and Monday.
Some areas in Guangxi and the Taiwan region are expected to receive up to 130 millimeters of rainfall, with hourly precipitation surpassing 60 millimeters in certain locations, according to the National Meteorological Center.
China operates a four-tier, color-coded weather warning system, where red indicates the most severe warning, followed by orange, yellow, and blue.
