In a vibrant display of international camaraderie, twelve Bulgarian paddlers recently participated in a dragon boat competition in Yunlong Town, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. Known as the ‘birthplace of Chinese dragon boat culture,’ Yunlong welcomed the Bulgarian team as part of a cultural exchange, strengthening ties between the two nations.
The event featured 21 dragon boat teams navigating the waters of Yunlong, where dragon boat racing boasts a rich history and holds significant cultural importance. The Bulgarian rowers joined local teams, creating unforgettable moments of unity and cooperation on the water.
‘Participating in the dragon boat race in China has been an incredible experience,’ said one of the Bulgarian paddlers. ‘We have learned so much about Chinese culture and have made lasting friendships.’
