Juncao: China’s ‘Magic Grass’ Transforming Lives Worldwide

China’s innovative Juncao technology, often referred to as the \”magic grass,\” is making significant strides in combating global poverty and environmental degradation. Derived from the Chinese words for \”fungi\” and \”grass,\” Juncao is a versatile plant that offers sustainable solutions for producing edible mushrooms, providing nutritious livestock feed, and preventing desertification.

For decades, the Chinese mainland has utilized Juncao technology to replace timber with this grass for mushroom cultivation. This shift not only reduced farming costs but also curtailed the annual clearing of trees, offering an eco-friendly pathway toward poverty alleviation and environmental conservation.

Recognized internationally as the \”grass of happiness,\” Juncao has extended its benefits to over 100 countries and regions. It addresses critical issues such as poverty, soil erosion, and desertification, demonstrating China’s commitment to global sustainable development.

To date, China has organized 270 Juncao training programs both domestically and internationally. These initiatives have educated over 10,000 individuals, who now promote Juncao technology in 18 different languages, furthering its global impact.
