In addition, the Standing Committee will deliberate on draft laws concerning energy, reflecting China’s focus on sustainable development and energy security. Draft revisions to laws on national defense education and anti-money laundering are also slated for review, indicating the government’s commitment to strengthening national security and financial integrity.
Lawmakers will also consider draft amendments to the accounting law and the statistics law, alongside revisions to three laws related to the promotion of agricultural technology. These legislative efforts underscore China’s dedication to enhancing transparency in financial practices and boosting innovation in its vital agricultural sector.
A notable item on the agenda is a bill authorizing the State Council to temporarily adjust the application of the food safety law within the Hainan Free Trade Port. This move is expected to facilitate trade and investment in the region, aligning with China’s broader goals of economic openness and development.
Furthermore, the session will review bills concerning treaties on judicial assistance in criminal matters and extradition agreements. These include judicial assistance treaties between China and Mauritius, and between China and Nepal, as well as extradition treaties with Senegal and Greece.
