Spectacular Bloom of Chinese Dove Trees Transforms Mount Fanjing

The Chinese dove trees at the western foot of Mount Fanjing in Tongren, southwest China’s Guizhou Province, are in full bloom, creating breathtaking views this spring.

Named for the white bracts that surround the base of each flower head, the Chinese dove tree resembles a flock of flying doves when in bloom. During this season each year, it feels as if tens of thousands of white doves are dancing through the forest.

Thanks to the dedicated protection efforts of local communities, these rare trees are thriving, with their numbers gradually increasing. The flourishing of the Chinese dove trees not only enhances the natural beauty of Mount Fanjing but also contributes to the preservation of biodiversity in the region.
