Chinese Premier Li Qiang met with Markus Soeder, the Minister-President of Bavaria, Germany, on Wednesday, advocating for enhanced economic and trade cooperation between China and Bavaria. The meeting underscored the importance of local cooperation as a vital source of vitality and foundation for China-Germany relations.
Premier Li emphasized China’s commitment to deepening openness and cooperation with Bavaria, acknowledging the region’s unique role in bilateral relations. He mentioned efforts to address issues such as cross-border data flows and to provide more support and convenience for German enterprises investing in China. Li also expressed hope that Bavaria would offer a fair, just, and non-discriminatory business environment for Chinese enterprises.
Markus Soeder acknowledged the close and cooperative relations Bavaria has established with China and expressed opposition to decoupling. He conveyed Bavaria’s willingness to continuously promote cooperation with China in fields such as agriculture, science and technology, and people-to-people and cultural exchanges.
