Experts at 2023 Bund Summit Highlight China’s Role in Global Financial Integration

At the 2023 Bund Summit, held against the backdrop of significant global shifts, leading economists convened to discuss the future of global financial integration. On the final day of the summit, CGTN hosted a dialogue featuring Yao Yang, dean of the National School of Development at Peking University, and Mari Pangestu, professor of International Economics at the University of Indonesia and former managing director at the World Bank.

Yao Yang emphasized the necessity for nations to seek consensus and embrace cooperation amid profound global changes. “In these uncertain times, collaboration is not just beneficial—it’s essential,” he remarked. Highlighting China’s robust market potential, Yao expressed confidence in its capacity to drive future growth and contribute to global economic stability.
