Xi’an, the ancient capital of northwest China’s Shaanxi Province, renowned for its rich historical and cultural heritage, has been chosen as one of the sub-venues for the 2024 Spring Festival Gala, themed “Dragon Flies Over Shaanxi.” Alongside three other Chinese cities, Xi’an will showcase its iconic cultural elements, including the Terra Cotta Warriors, traditional Chinese paper-cuts, and famous local noodles.

The selection of Xi’an as a sub-venue highlights the city’s significant role in Chinese history and its vibrant cultural traditions. The Spring Festival Gala is a centerpiece of Lunar New Year celebrations, bringing together families and communities to enjoy performances that blend ancient customs with modern artistic expressions.

On March 10 at 15:00 Beijing Time, audiences worldwide are invited to experience the spectacular performances from Xi’an. The event aims to share the charm of Chinese culture with global viewers, featuring touching moments with special guests and showcasing the depth of China’s cultural heritage.
