Energy China Showcases Advanced Tech at UAE Water Project Open Day

China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (Energy China Group) recently hosted an open day at the Umm Al Quwain Independent Water Project in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), highlighting its cutting-edge technology and commitment to sustainable development.

The 150 million imperial gallons per day (MIGD) project, a key initiative under the Belt and Road Initiative and the UAE Water Security Strategy 2036, aims to ensure sustainable access to water for the region. The project is expected to significantly bolster the UAE’s water desalination capacity, addressing the growing demand for clean water.

During the open day, officials and stakeholders from China, Saudi Arabia, France, the UAE, and Germany gathered to witness the progress of the project. The event showcased the collaborative efforts in technology, finance, and construction, setting a benchmark for multilateral cooperation.
