London Faces COVID-19 Crisis as One in 30 Residents Infected

London—Mayor Sadiq Khan has declared that the city is “at a crisis point” due to the surging COVID-19 cases.

“One in 30 Londoners now has COVID-19,” he wrote in a statement on Friday.

Unless the virus slows down, hospitals are at risk of being overwhelmed.

England is currently in its third national lockdown with strict stay-at-home orders.
