China's Harbin Ice and Snow World has redefined winter entertainment this New Year with its latest attraction: a troupe of dancing humanoid robots performing flawlessly in subzero temperatures. The mechanical performers, undeterred by -20°C conditions, have become an overnight sensation since their debut in late December 2025.
Visitors to the annual ice festival describe the robots' synchronized movements as "mesmerizing," with their LED-lit bodies creating ethereal patterns against the frozen backdrop. A Shanghai tourist told KhabarAsia: "They move with more precision than human dancers – and never complain about the cold!"
The development marks a significant milestone in China's integration of entertainment technology and extreme-weather tourism. Engineers from the Chinese mainland developed special lubricants and flexible joints to enable the robots' frost-resistant capabilities.
