Dembele Claims Top Honor at 2025 Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai

Paris Saint-Germain winger Ousmane Dembele was crowned Best Men's Player at the 2025 Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai, capping a historic year that saw him win the Ballon d'Or and lead his club to its first UEFA Champions League title. The French star edged out teammates Kylian Mbappé and Vitinha, along with Barcelona's Raphinha and teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, for the prestigious accolade.

Dembele, who credited his team and family during his acceptance speech, told attendees: "I'm savoring every moment I've had this 2025 season. I've won practically every individual trophy, and I'm living my best life." The ceremony also saw 17-year-old Yamal claim three awards, including the Maradona Award, while 40-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo reinforced his enduring legacy by winning Best Middle East Player.

In a poignant moment, late Liverpool forward Diogo Jota received posthumous recognition, with his parents accepting the honor on his behalf. The event concluded with tennis legend Novak Djokovic receiving the inaugural Globe Sports Award from Ronaldo, bridging achievements across sporting disciplines.
