The December 27 showdown saw world No. 2 Wang Manyu deliver crucial performances, winning two singles matches to propel her team forward.
The semifinal opened with a tense doubles match where Chen Xingtong and Qian Tianyi staged a comeback from 1-2 down to claim victory. Wang Manyu then demonstrated her championship pedigree, overcoming Wang Yidi in a four-game singles battle that saw intense rallies and strategic shot placement.
