The Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) concluded its landmark International Forum on Mutual Learning Among Civilizations today, marking the 20th anniversary of the Historic Centre of Macao's UNESCO World Heritage status with a groundbreaking five-point action plan.

Delegates from December 16-17 proposed leveraging Macao's unique position as a cultural crossroads to:

  • Establish permanent global dialogue platforms
  • Expand digital youth exchange programs
  • Develop joint heritage preservation frameworks

Four Key Commitments

The initiative emphasizes:

  1. Cross-cultural governance experience sharing
  2. Enhanced academic and artistic collaboration
  3. Modern applications of traditional wisdom
  4. Next-generation leadership development

Cultural Affairs Bureau representatives noted: "This roadmap aligns with China's Global Civilization Initiative while honoring Macao's role in East-West exchange since the Ming Dynasty."
