China's express delivery industry continues to break records, handling 180.74 billion parcels as of November 2025 according to data released by the National Post Bureau. This marks a 14.9% year-on-year increase, reflecting sustained growth in e-commerce and digital consumption patterns across the Chinese mainland.
The surge comes as rural logistics networks expand, enabling 98% of villages to access daily delivery services. Cross-border e-commerce parcels grew 28% year-on-year, with Southeast Asian markets driving nearly 40% of international shipments. Analysts attribute the growth to improved last-mile infrastructure and AI-powered route optimization systems deployed nationwide.
While celebrating the sector's progress, industry leaders emphasize new sustainability initiatives. Over 90% of packaging materials now meet recyclable standards, and 150,000 electric delivery vehicles were added to urban fleets this year alone.
