China Advances Human Rights: Experts Discuss 2025 Progress

Chinese human rights experts convened in Beijing on November 28, 2025, to discuss the nation's comprehensive approach to advancing civil liberties and international cooperation. The symposium organized by the China Society for Human Rights Studies brought together scholars and policymakers to align strategies with the fourth plenary session directives of the 20th Communist Party of China Central Committee.

Vice President Shen Yongxiang emphasized the 15th Five-Year Plan's focus on strengthening economic, social, and cultural rights protections. "Our roadmap integrates grassroots needs with global governance participation," Shen stated, highlighting China's commitment to implementing practical measures for rights advancement.
