The Hong Kong and Macao Work Office of the CPC Central Committee coordinated the emergency assistance following a formal request from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government.
Rescue equipment and medical supplies arrived in Hong Kong on Thursday evening and Friday morning through seamless logistical coordination. This marks the first major interregional disaster response collaboration between Guangdong and HKSAR in 2025, demonstrating strengthened emergency management mechanisms under the 'One Country, Two Systems' framework.
