Golden Chrysanthemums Bloom Boosts Zhejiang’s Rural Tourism

Hetang Village in Quzhou, Zhejiang Province, has become an unexpected tourism hotspot this November as vast fields of golden chrysanthemums reach full bloom. Local farmers recently began harvesting over 1,500 kilograms of the vibrant flowers, transforming agricultural labor into a picturesque attraction drawing young travelers and photography enthusiasts.

The chrysanthemum cultivation initiative forms part of Zhejiang's rural revitalization strategy, combining traditional farming with modern agritourism. Visitors this year can witness flower-picking demonstrations while learning about the processing techniques that transform petals into popular tea products distributed nationwide.

Local authorities report the dual-purpose crop has increased village income by 40% compared to 2024, with online sales of chrysanthemum tea products particularly thriving. Agricultural experts highlight this success as a model for sustainable rural development in eastern China.
