China is set to host the inaugural China-Central Asia Summit on May 18 and 19 in Xi’an, northwest China’s Shaanxi Province. The leaders of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan have been invited to attend this significant diplomatic event.
In anticipation of the summit, CGTN stringer Hua Tengxing, residing in Kyrgyzstan, took to the streets of the capital city Bishkek to gather insights from young locals about their impressions of China.
Many young residents expressed keen interest in China’s rapidly growing economy and educational opportunities. One individual, who had studied in China, shared her admiration for the Chinese cultural emphasis on respecting parents and the importance of family reunions.
These perspectives highlight the growing cultural connections between Kyrgyzstan and China, as both nations anticipate strengthened ties following the upcoming summit in Xi’an.
