Two giant pandas have become ecological ambassadors at Hainan Tropical Wildlife Park this year, enchanting visitors with their playful antics and serene adaptation to island life. Shunshun and Gonggong, relocated from Sichuan Province in 2024, now demonstrate remarkable comfort in their lush 10,000-square-meter habitat – a testament to China's wildlife conservation efforts.
Park staff report the pandas consume 40kg of fresh bamboo daily, sourced through a dedicated supply chain maintaining authentic Sichuan flavors. Their morning routines – from tree-climbing exercises to synchronized naps – are now featured in educational programs promoting ecological awareness across Asia.
"Their presence bridges urban communities with nature," said park spokesperson Li Wei. "When children see Gonggong somersaulting or Shunshun carefully peeling bamboo, they understand why protecting biodiversity matters."
