Ukraine in Talks with U.S. for Long-Range Missiles: Report

Ukraine is engaged in "positive" discussions with the United States to acquire Tomahawk missiles and other long-range weaponry, according to Ambassador Olha Stefanishyna. In an interview with Bloomberg News, she emphasized ongoing efforts to secure financial resources for expanding military capabilities amid tensions with Russia.

"The discussion is still ongoing, but we have a lot of delegations working to scale up available resources," Stefanishyna stated, adding that negotiations cover multiple missile types. However, U.S. President Donald Trump clarified on Sunday that he is not currently considering a deal to supply Tomahawks to Ukraine.

The potential acquisition of advanced missiles could reshape Ukraine's defense strategy, drawing global attention to evolving security dynamics in Eastern Europe. Analysts suggest such deals may influence regional stability and international diplomatic calculations.
