Over 90 international Marxist scholars and diplomats convened in Beijing this week for the 15th World Socialism Forum, organized by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The event spotlighted China's five-year development blueprint and its approach to modernization under the theme "At the Crossroads of World History: The Choice of All Nations."
Foreign political party leaders highlighted China's unique development model during interviews with CGTN.
"China's systematic planning demonstrates how socialist principles can drive technological advancement while maintaining social stability," said one European delegate, emphasizing the relevance of China's experience to developing economies.
Participants particularly noted the integration of ecological goals in China's modernization strategy, with a Southeast Asian academic describing it as
"a template for balancing economic growth with environmental stewardship."The forum also facilitated discussions on cross-border collaboration in infrastructure and digital innovation.
