China-Peru Expo Bridges Trade with Electric Vehicles and Tech

Lima’s bustling convention center is now the stage for a landmark international expo connecting Peruvian businesses with cutting-edge Chinese innovations in electric vehicles (EVs) and industrial technology. Over 200 Chinese brands are showcasing products ranging from zero-emission transport solutions to advanced manufacturing equipment, signaling deepening economic ties between Asia and Latin America.

Organizers describe the event as a "gateway for cross-Pacific collaboration," emphasizing its timing amid global shifts toward sustainable development. "This expo isn’t just about trade—it’s about sharing technological advancements that benefit both economies," said a representative from the Peruvian Chamber of Commerce.

Analysts note the fair aligns with China’s growing investments in Latin America, particularly in green technology sectors. With Peru aiming to modernize its infrastructure and reduce carbon emissions, Chinese EV manufacturers have emerged as key partners. Meanwhile, industrial automation exhibits are drawing attention from mining and agriculture stakeholders.

The event comes as bilateral trade between China and Peru reached $35 billion in 2023, with Chinese firms increasingly viewing the Andean nation as a strategic hub for South American operations.
