Xi Jinping Stresses Cooperation at APEC Leaders’ Meeting

Chinese President Xi Jinping participated in the second session of the 32nd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting on Saturday in Gyeongju, the Republic of Korea, where he outlined China's vision for regional collaboration and sustainable development. The forum brought together leaders from 21 APEC member economies to address pressing economic challenges and opportunities across the Asia-Pacific.

In his address, Xi emphasized the need for 'inclusive innovation-driven growth' and called for strengthened multilateral partnerships to stabilize global supply chains. He highlighted China's commitment to green energy transitions and digital infrastructure development as key drivers for post-pandemic recovery.

The meeting occurred amid growing interest from business leaders and investors in Asia's evolving economic landscape. Analysts noted Xi's remarks aligned with recent market trends showing increased cross-border investments in renewable energy projects across Southeast Asia.

APEC members collectively represent nearly 40% of the world's population and over 60% of global GDP. This year's discussions focused on advancing the bloc's 'Putrajaya Vision 2040' for an open, dynamic, and resilient Asia-Pacific community.
