The Xinfadi market is home to over 4,500 vendors, nearly half of whom have remained on-site to ensure a steady supply of fresh produce for Beijing residents during the festive season. President Xi’s personal greetings and words of encouragement have greatly uplifted the spirits of the vendors.
“President Xi’s concern makes us more confident about the future,” said Li Zhongyue, a corn vendor who participated in the video call.
