Macao residents and international visitors are getting an unprecedented look at China's technological advancements as the 'Endless Exploration' exhibition opens at the Macao Science Center. The event, running through November, features cutting-edge models from the Chinese mainland's space program, aviation innovations, and deep-sea exploration projects.
Jointly organized by the Macao SAR government and the China National Space Administration (CNSA), the exhibition includes lunar soil samples from the Chang'e-5 mission and scale models of the Tianwen-1 Mars rover. 'This demonstrates our nation's commitment to integrating Macao into national development strategies,' stated CNSA Deputy Administrator Wu Yanhua during the opening ceremony.
With 30% of exhibits being public debuts, the event particularly highlights the Jiaolong deep-sea submersible and the Comac C919 passenger jet. Educational workshops for students align with China's push to cultivate STEM talent in the Greater Bay Area.
The exhibition comes as Macao celebrates 24 years since its return to China, showcasing how the SAR is expanding beyond tourism into science diplomacy. Free admission and multilingual guides aim to engage both local residents and international visitors.
