Overseas Chinese in France Celebrate National Games with Art Exhibition

PARIS — A vibrant fusion of art and sports diplomacy unfolded in Paris this week as overseas Chinese communities joined French artists to celebrate China’s upcoming 15th National Games. At the heart of the event was The Unfinished Garden – a collaborative artwork by children from Guangzhou’s Children’s Palace, many of whom have autism or Down syndrome.

Held at the A2Z Art Gallery, the exhibition featured 15 sports-themed works symbolizing the Games’ spirit. Counselor Wan Lei from the Chinese Embassy’s Overseas Chinese Affairs Office praised the initiative, stating: "This cultural bridge reflects our shared human values through art and athletic aspiration."

The event coincided with a Guangzhou delegation’s visit, strengthening people-to-people ties ahead of the November 9 Games opening. Attendees described the children’s reinterpretation of The Little Prince’s iconic flower as "a testament to inclusive creativity."
