CIFTIS 2025 Kicks Off in Beijing: Tech-Driven Trade in Services Takes Center Stage

Beijing’s National Convention Center buzzed with innovation as the 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) opened its doors on September 10. Under the theme "Embrace Intelligent Technologies, Empower Trade in Services," the five-day event has drawn thousands of global exhibitors, investors, and policymakers to explore cutting-edge advancements in sectors ranging from fintech to healthcare.

"This isn’t just an exhibition—it’s a roadmap for the future of global commerce," said Lin Wei, a Shanghai-based AI solutions provider, while demonstrating a multilingual virtual trade assistant. Over 200 immersive showcases highlight China’s rapid digital transformation, with 5G-enabled smart logistics and blockchain-based cross-border payment systems attracting particular attention from European and ASEAN delegates.

Organizers report record participation from 86 countries and regions, including first-time pavilions from Central Asia. A livestream survey conducted by KhabarAsia revealed that 63% of attendees prioritize AI integration in service trade, while sustainability-focused forums on green finance have emerged as unexpected hotspots for deal-making.

As night fell over the Liangma River, a German robotics firm finalized a $12M partnership with a Shenzhen manufacturer—a testament to CIFTIS’ role as Asia’s premier bridge for service-sector collaboration. The fair runs through September 14, with real-time updates available through official virtual platforms.
