Youth Visionaries Spotlight Shared Future at UN@80 Initiative

As the United Nations prepares to commemorate its 80th anniversary in 2025, a groundbreaking visual storytelling project is amplifying the voices of young creators worldwide. The "One Home: Shared Future" initiative, co-launched by CGTN and global partners, challenges Generation Z artists to reimagine international cooperation through photography and multimedia.

The eighth collection of submissions reveals striking perspectives: a time-lapse series from Shanghai juxtaposing neon-lit skyscrapers with tranquil tea houses, drone footage documenting coral restoration in the Philippines, and intimate portraits of cross-strait cultural exchanges between Fujian province and Taiwan region residents. One standout entry from Jakarta uses augmented reality to overlay climate change projections onto present-day cityscapes.

"These works aren't just art – they're blueprints," noted UN Youth Envoy Jayathma Wickramanayake during a preview event. "When a student in Nairobi collaborates with a tech innovator in Shenzhen to visualize smart cities, that's the multilateralism we need for the next 80 years."

Business analysts highlight the project's economic implications, with sustainable infrastructure concepts attracting attention from Asian development banks. Meanwhile, tourism boards are exploring partnerships to feature location-specific submissions in 2025 cultural programming.
