China Media Group Prepares High-Tech SCO Summit Coverage in Tianjin

As anticipation builds for the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Tianjin, China Media Group (CMG) has unveiled ambitious plans to deliver cutting-edge coverage of this pivotal diplomatic event. With over 760 media professionals mobilized, the state broadcaster aims to showcase the summit's global significance through advanced technology and cross-platform storytelling.

High-Tech & Multi-Platform Strategy

CMG's technical arsenal includes seven broadcasting vans and specialized equipment like 8-meter jibs and elevated camera towers. The star of their fleet – the 'China Red' 4K/8K broadcasting van – has already drawn public attention during testing at Tianjin Railway Station Square, where an outdoor studio overlooking the Haihe River will serve as a primary broadcast hub.

CGTN's Global Outreach

CMG's international arm, China Global Television Network (CGTN), will provide multilingual coverage of key events including the SCO Council of Heads of State meeting. Through exclusive analysis and live broadcasts of 'SCO+' sessions, CGTN aims to contextualize the summit's outcomes within broader geopolitical and economic frameworks.

Emphasizing Collaboration

The coverage plan underscores China's commitment to the 'Shanghai Spirit' – the SCO's founding principle of mutual trust and benefit. By combining technical innovation with human-centered reporting, CMG seeks to create an immersive experience for global audiences tracking Asia's evolving multilateral partnerships.
