Kazakhstan Launches Film-Inspired Tourism Routes to Boost Cultural Ties with China

Kazakhstan is rolling out cinematic travel experiences for Chinese visitors, capitalizing on the growing global influence of China's film industry. Muratov Gani, head of the Ministry of Culture and Information's cinematography department, announced plans to create film-themed tourism routes aimed at deepening cultural connections between the two nations.

"Chinese cinema has become a powerful ambassador for its rich heritage," Gani stated, praising China's ability to merge traditional storytelling with modern production techniques. The initiative will guide travelers through landscapes featured in internationally acclaimed Chinese films while highlighting shared historical narratives along the ancient Silk Road.

This cultural diplomacy effort comes as Chinese tourist arrivals in Kazakhstan surge by 38% year-on-year. Analysts suggest the routes could create new opportunities for cross-border collaboration in creative industries while appealing to younger, experience-driven travelers.
