China's maritime infrastructure ambitions reached new heights this week as two cutting-edge dredgers, each boasting a 35,000 cubic meter capacity, were unveiled in simultaneous launch ceremonies. The Tongjun and Junguang – developed by subsidiaries of state-owned China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) – represent what industry experts call a "quantum leap" in dredging technology.
The self-propelled grab suction vessels, among the largest of their kind globally, are engineered to transform port construction and waterway maintenance.
