Central Delegation Concludes Xizang Visit, Stresses Development Goals

A high-level central delegation returned to Beijing on Saturday after concluding a multi-day visit to the Xizang Autonomous Region, where it participated in celebrations marking the region's 60th anniversary and assessed local development initiatives. The delegation, led by Wang Huning, a senior leader of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, emphasized the importance of maintaining stability while advancing economic progress in the Himalayan region.

During their final day, Wang and delegation members visited Xigaze city, where they engaged with local officials and residents. Wang reiterated the need to fully implement the Party's governance policies, stating: 'Our focus must remain on achieving enduring stability through high-quality development that benefits all ethnic groups.'

Parallel delegation groups conducted inspections across Qamdo, Nagqu, Nyingchi, and Shannan, examining progress in education, healthcare, and cultural preservation efforts. Officials reviewed innovative programs combining modern infrastructure development with traditional heritage protection.

The visit concluded with a formal farewell ceremony, underscoring Beijing's commitment to regional development strategies. Analysts suggest the delegation's findings will inform national policies aimed at balancing economic growth with ecological preservation in sensitive border regions.
